
Stop Waiting for Your Oven to Heat Up
We’ve all been there. You’re ready to bake, but your convection oven is taking its sweet time to preheat. Then, the moment you slide in a new batch, the temperature drops, and you’re stuck waiting again. It’s a drag. That’s why we started adding linear infrared heaters into the mix. Instead of just blowing hot air around—which is slow—these lamps beam energy straight into the dough. It’s a different kind of heat. It’s direct. It’s fast. Getting the heat right To get that perfect, crunchy crust without making the oven massive, we use high-wattage quartz tubes. Depending on what your power grid can handle (usually 230V or 400V), we can pump more power into a smaller tube. The result? You stop dealing with that “snail-pace” preheating. You hit your target temperature quickly, and your production rhythm actually stays consistent. The nuts and bolts We use halogen-filled quartz glass because it handles the heat better. It means the filaments don’t just burn out the second things get hot. Since the lamps are linear, the heat spreads evenly across the whole tray. No more guessing if the loaves in the corner are underbaked. Plus, we use standard R7s or Sk15 connectors. If a lamp eventually pops, you just swap it out and keep moving. No need for a specialized technician to come save the day. A few things to keep in mind Using IR heaters lets you lean less on heavy thermal mass, which can basically double your efficiency. It’s great for that final “blast” of heat to get the browning just right. But here’s the thing: these lamps getintense. If you’re putting 2000W+ tubes in a tight space, don’t wing it with the wiring. Make sure your gauges are right and your ventilation is actually working. If the air doesn’t move around the lamp ends, your connectors will fry, and you’ll be right back to square one.
