The unit hits full output within seconds, so you don’t get the energy drain that comes with systems sitting around in standby. And it’s built to play nice with commercial electrical setups. We run it on 400V, which lets us deliver higher wattage without pushing current through the roof. That keeps wiring runs simple and helps prevent voltage drop over longer circuits. The lamp stays short—about 300mm—so it slips cleanly into standard mirror assemblies. Materials and Design: Built to Take It
Inside, you’ve got a halogen-filled quartz tube doing the heavy lifting. The halogen cycle keeps the filament stable, so output stays steady over the life of the lamp. And the quartz envelope can handle the jolt of rapid on/off cycles, which matters in a bathroom that gets hammered all day. On the shop floor, connector choice actually matters. We use an R7s base because it locks the lamp in place with secure, two-point contact. That makes wiring quicker and more reliable, and it keeps the lamp aligned so heat spreads evenly across the mirror.
