We aren&amp;rsquo;t trying to dry anything here. We&amp;rsquo;re using shortwave IR to basically shock the old coating right off the metal.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;h2 id=&#34;the-trick-to-fast-stripping&#34;&gt;The trick to fast stripping&lt;/h2&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;If you want to get old paint or sealant off without warping the frame, you can&amp;rsquo;t just slowly warm it up. You need a hit of high heat, and you need it now.&#xA;The cool thing about shortwave IR is that it dives straight through the coating and turns into heat right where the paint meets the metal. You hit a specific temperature, the bond snaps, and the coating blisters. From there, you just peel it away. If you just hover over the surface trying to &amp;ldquo;dry&amp;rdquo; it, you&amp;rsquo;re just wasting electricity and risking overheating the rest of the airframe.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
